COLD FURNISHINGS
DESIGNED AT THE NORWEGIAN UNIVERSITY
OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

Carved with a CNC milling machine and casted in concrete, this furniture emulates frozen surfaces into the design of our daily uses ; as a way to grasp the Norwegian winter’s ephemeral forms, and question the environment’s footprint on furniture.

The stools are made to challenge the user determining where the landscape can reveal itself as a furniture piece, transporting raw textures inside the home as design motifs: formalized in domestic typologies out of their natural wild habitat.
